Got there for sunrise and saw a huge variety of birds as well as monkeys, lizards, crocodiles and an elephant close up. Peaceful and not crowded.

It has been one of the best experiences in Sri Lanka so far. Spectacular flora and fauna, a must see place!

We visited 4 National Parks and in our opinion this was the best place to see nature at its best without the crowds and lots of jeeps. No problems to stop and observe and no queuing jeeps. We?ve been in Sri Lanka for two weeks and had already identified at least 50 species of birds but at Bundala we were helped by our guide to see another 21 species!
