Overnight adventure trails are the best way to explore the beauty of the Misty Mountains in Knuckles range that covers an area of approximately 21,000 ha. This is part of the Central Highlands World Heritage site, declared in 2010. The Forest Range supports a rich biological diversity with 128 species of birds, 20 species of amphibians, 53 species of reptiles, 15 freshwater species and 31 mammal species.

DAY 1
PICK UP / KNUCKLES

You will be picked up from your hotel in Kandy and driven approximately 45 kilometers.

Visit Hulu waterfall and Thaliya waterfalls and proceed to Bambarella.

Visit Bambarella waterfalls and enjoy the surrounding.

Enjoy your lunch near the waterfall.
14:00
Start a memorable 3km trekking to through the mountains to the campsite.

Enjoy evening tea near the Knuckles waterfall.

Campfire and Backwoods man cooking.

Enjoy the dinner around the campfire.
DAY 2
KNUCKLES / DROP OFF

Enjoy the breakfast at the campsite.

Start the morning trekking to the peak at 1856m.

Reach the peak and explore the beauty of the knuckles mountain range.

Arrive at the campsite for Lunch.

You will be dropped off at your hotel in Kandy.

- Children 10 Years and younger are not recommended.
- All children must be accompanied by an adult.
- This activity is subject to cancellation based on inclement weather. Activity can be rescheduled or the payment could be refunded.

- To receive a full refund, travelers should cancel before 24 hours of the experience starting date in the local time zone. No refunds will be given after that time period.
Know before you go
- Please be ready and waiting in your hotel lobby 15 minutes prior to your scheduled pick-up time.
- Roundtrip transportation is available from most centrally located Kandy hotels. Please arrange pickup from your hotel or a nearby location when you call to confirm your reservation.
- Vegetarian option is available, please advise at the time of booking if required
- Be prepared for uneven surfaces at the sites visited which may be difficult for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair
- Gratuity is not included and is left to individual discretion.

This hike was most definitely one of the highlights of our Sri Lanka trip. Our guide was amazing and could tell us about every plant we passed with the frequent taste test too. A local family welcomed us to their home with all the fresh fruit you could want. Every landscape highlighted the beauty of Sri Lanka from tea terraces to waterfalls. to jungle. The base camp was also stunning with our own private glamping huts. The food was delicious and the hospitality of the whole team was amazing. From the fire singing, to the tuktuk ride back to Kandy - everything was so special! Loved it and would recommend to anyone!

I absolutely loved the experience. The nature was beautiful and the tour was very well organized. The guides were very knowledgeable, fun and easy going. My highlight were the water activities on day two. Food provided was also delicious and they even accommodated me providing vegan options. I would really recommend this experience.
