Explore Negombo Treasures by Tuk-Tuk
Explore the small fishing village of Negombo by Tuk Tuk, a very typical vehicle in Asia. You will be picked-up from your hotel in Negombo by tuk-tuk and then moved to explore the countryside of there.

Start your tuk-tuk ride in the town of Negombo. Firstly, you will be taken to a buzzing local fish market, either ‘Lellama’ of Negombo. You will see huge mats of dry fish laid out in the sun; stalls with variety of marine lives and large fishing boats that have been docked there. If you like, you can buy some fishes as well ;) Thereon you will proceed to visit the Negombo Dutch Fort. You can wander through the fort listening to the stories behind this fort by your very own guide. Afterwards, you will be moved to witness the Dutch canal, which was an important link in the transportation route which supplied the Dutch colonial administration. Continue your Tuk ride to visit the sacred sites in Negombo which exposure the vibrant culture. You will be stopped by Sri Singama Kali Amman Kovil is a major Hindu religious site. Here you will be able to witness and capture the stunning murals and sculptures. Then visit Angurukaramulla Temple which has a history of 300 years. The highlights of this temple are the historic library; the dragon entrance and the colorful murals which make this place worth visiting. At last you will be transferred to visit St. Mary’s Church, one of the largest cathedrals in Sri Lanka and a quite prominent site which plays a main religious role. The unique architecture of this church shouldn’t be missed by the travelers who visit Negombo. Enjoy a sweet king coconut that will refresh your souls during Tuk ride in Negombo.

Perfect tour of Negombo with Beyond Escapes. We were picked up right on time at our hotel and went along in Malith?s nicely pimped tuktuk enjoing the latest SriLankan hits (our request). The stops were interesting with fish market, lagoon / canal, buddhist temple, hindu temple and catholic church with ongoing wedding! Thank you.
