This is an ideal day trip through the buzzing local fish market of Negombo. You can buy fresh fish for lunch, explore the mangroves by boat, do some fishing and experience how local fishers carry out traditional fishing. Then take a catamaran ride and have a picnic lunch on an island with grilled seafood. This shore excursion will help you to test your fishing skills with local fishermen.

You will be picked up from Colombo harbour by TukTuk or Car and transferred to the starting point of the fishing expedition.

Visit Negombo fish market and buy your favorite fresh seafood to cook for your lunch in addition to the seafood we provide during the trip.
10:30
Start boat tour in Negombo lagoon. Here you can engage with traditional and modern ways of fishing in lagoon. . Refreshment will be provided during the boat trip.
13:00
Live cooking of your lunch in an Island in the lagoon which you can participate in. Rice and two grilled seafood items will be served, plus any additional seafood you may have purchases during your visit to the fish market.
15:00
Take a Catamaran ride with an experienced rider through the lagoon area while you relax and see the beautiful scenery.
16:30
End of the lagoon trip and you will be moved back to the Colombo harbour.
17:30
You will be dropped off at the passenger pier in Colombo harbor to go ahead with your next journey!

- Roundtrip transportation is available from Colombo harbour.
