Katunayake - Madol Kale
On arrival at the Bandaranaike International airport, you will be warmly greeted by your very own chauffeur guide and transferred to Madol kele. On arrival in the hotel, spend the day at leisure relaxing and enjoying the hotel facilities. Dinner and spend overnight at hotel.
2 Day
Madol Kale - Madol Kale
Morning breakfast at hotel. Trekking mini worlds end (around 2 hrs) Traditional hill country cooking demonstration with lunch (one and half hours). Bird watching. Trekking mini worlds end - Walk via local country life, explore some fauna and flora specific to the region and trek through old Ceylon’s ancient tea plantation. Providing bottled drinking water and snacks. Traditional hill country cooking demo - Accompanying the Madol kelle Tea and Eco Lodge chef for a short walk around our organic vegetable and herb garden and pick a basket full of the day’s fresh, in season produce. Learn to identify fresh herbs and how they grow. Then, join the chef in the traditional kitchen for hands -on cooking lesson of typical Sri Lankan hill country dishes. Bird watching - Wake at the crack of dawn for the best bird watching, or head out with your guide in the afternoon or early in the morning. You can see endemic birds like Ceylon hanging parrot, Sri Lankan Grackle and Yellow fronted barbet, Black eagle, Brahmin Kite, Black hooded oriole, Woodpecker, Flameback and Kingfisher. Breakfast at hotel. Visits nearby waterfalls (around 3 hrs). Lunch at hotel. Experience the community tourism with a consultant. (around 2hrs). Dinner and stay overnight in Hotel. Visits nearby waterfalls. Visit the waterfalls of Huluganga, Hatale Ella, Saree Ella and Jodu Ella in a 2- or 3-hour experience that includes a scenic drive through the hill country. Providing bottled drinking water, snacks (sandwiches) and transport by 4x4 jeep or tuktuk. Experience the community tourism with a consultant. Experience the Madulkelle community and have tea with a hosting family. While getting to know a local family and their way of life, enjoy a simple snack in true Sri Lankan hospitality. You could also experience tea picking with the estate community ladies that work in the field. Providing bottled drinking water, traditional welcome, simple community food and tea.
