On arrival at the Bandaranaike International airport, you will be warmly greeted by your very own chauffeur guide and transferred to Kandy. On arrival in the hotel, spend the day at leisure relaxing and enjoying the hotel facilities. Spend overnight at Madulkelle Tea and Eco Lodge on a Bed & Breakfast basis. 07.30: Breakfast at the campsite 08.30: Proceed to Meemure Village and enjoy a walking tour. 12.30: Enjoy a Sri Lankan Lunch at a village house 17.30: Arrive at your hotel and spend rest of the day relaxing Spend overnight at Dumbanagala Chalet or at a Campsite on Half Board basis. Meemure Village Meemure is one of the most remote villages in Sri Lanka with a traditional culture and exceptional natural beauty. The population of Meemure is about 400 with roughly 100 families. This is yet another society struggling to maintain their unique culture in the traditional way. Villagers have built eco-friendly houses using clay and ‘Illuk’ that lasted for 30 – 40 years. Covering the lush green forest fed by plenty of beautiful waterfalls, the Meemure creates the typical atmosphere of a rural mountain village with authentic cultural values. Visiting this beautiful traditional village will not only be a community experience but also a rich biological experience of one of a kind.

Knuckles Mountain Range - Mahiyanganaya
08.00: Breakfast at Hotel 09.00: Proceed to Mahiyanganaya 12.00: Enjoy a traditional lunch at Rathna Ella village 13.30: Enjoy a Waterfall Trekking tour 17:00: Check in to Kevan's Casa in Mahiyanganaya and enjoying the hotel facilities Spend overnight at Kevan's Casa on Full Board basis Waterfall Trekking Tour This hike takes us through the lush forests of Mahiyangana to reach the Rathna Ella waterfall. The route is about 3.5 kilometres long but the destination is well worth the journey. The 101-meter waterfall is the highest in the Kandy region and one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Sri Lanka. You will also witness the majestic Kaluwa Wetuna Ella in the middle of this trekking. This 30-meter waterfall lies deep in the jungle and makes for a great hike that’s loved by all nature enthusiasts. At the end of the trekking experience, you will witness the traditional pottery making and handicrafts.

Mahiyanganaya - Mahiyanganaya
05.30: Sorabora Lake experience with an authentic Sri Lankan breakfast on the rock 10:00: Arrive back to hotel and spend couple of hours at leisure 14.00: Afternoon excursion to Dambana Wedda Village Spend overnight at Kevan's Casa on Full Board basis Sorabora Lake experience with an authentic Sri Lankan breakfast on the rock Enjoy the scenery of traditional lake fishing in the Sorabora Lake on a memorable boat ride at the sunrise. After a 30 minutes ride in a traditional catamaran, you will reach a fish market at the edge of the Lake. Make your way back to a rock boulder where you can enjoy an authentic Sri Lankan breakfast. After breakfast, you will enjoy cow milking and ride on a swing at the edge of the lake followed by a mountain bike ride through the Sorabora lake bunt and over to lush green lands, offering great views of the countryside. Afternoon excursion to Dambana Wedda Village The term “Wedda” translates to “people of the forests” and members of this indigenous community have been taking refuge in the Dambana forest for centuries. Learn more about their fascinating lifestyle of a forest dweller and how they have adapted to the changing times.
